Event Community Description
Old Settlers Days Toulon (1st weekend in August) One of the area’s old traditions is the Old Settlers Celebration in Toulon that has been taken place since 1877. The celebration has many performance on the stage but starts off Thursday night with a BBQ and gospel sing followed by the Miss Teen OSA pageant. Friday usually included a kiddie tractor pull, fish fry and car cruise with Saturday hosting a main performer and a parade in the afternoon. Corn Boil Wyoming (4th Saturday in July) Started in 2003, the Corn Boil features locally grown corn boiled to perfection. Other events include Firemen’s invititional water fights, games, car show, local band performance and other music. All events are held in downtown Wyoming.
Fall Festival Stark County (3rd weekend in September) During the third weekend of September a very unique annual event takes place within the borders of Stark County. Six communities (Bradford, Castleton, LaFayette, Toulon, West Jersey, and Wyoming) and a vineyard (Indian Creek Vineyard), along a 70 mile route, all participate in a festival featuring antiques, crafts, flea markets, wine tasting, demonstrations, entertainment, various other activities and great food. Each stop offers it’s own unique style!
Hog Roast Bradford (1st Saturday in June) Dinner begins at 11 am and continues to 7 pm and features four different kinds of pork, including sausage, whole hog, pork chops and pork steaks with backed beansm coleslaw and a drink to benefir the Bradford Rescue Squad. An auction and raffle is also held.)
Labor Day Weekend Celebration Bradford (Labor Day weekend) Bradford Labor Day Celebration begins on Friday with a softball tournament that continues on into Saturday. Saturday’s main event is the Gospelfest started in 1995 that runs all day and features over 20 performers. Sunday is the Little Miss Bradford pageant and Legion fish fry and Monday features a parade, frog jumping contest, water fights, food, petting zoo and a Youthfest concert.
Moonlight Madness & Lighted Parade Wyoming (3rd Friday in November) This unique events begins at 5 pm and runs through the night with drawings and goodies at most businesses. A parade of lighted floats begins at 7 pm, and horse drawn carriage rides run until then. All stores will be open late with many specials.
Bradford Christmas Open House Bradford (Last Saturday in November) Bradford’s Christmas Open House brings the whole cummunity together, even in the cold. The event is lucky enough to have Santa stop by in the library basement and businesses are all open for you to enjoy!
Toulon Christmas Open House Toulon (2nd Monday in December) The two hour event, starting at 6 pm and running to 8 pm, is basically an open house Christmas Celebration in which businesses have drawings and treats for all to enjoy. The Courthouse tree lighting kicks off the night and then Santa makes an appearance on the firetruck down Main Street.
Stark County Farmer's Market Wyoming This year's market will kick-off on Thursday June 15 and will be located in downtown Wyoming. Time:3:30pm to 6:30pm
Bradford Oktoberfest Bradford Bradford Oktoberfest will be September 29,30 and October 1. The traditional celebration of harvest and fellowship is being sponsored by the Kaiserhof and the county-wide Knights of Columbus. Lederhosen and funny hats will be the garb of choice for many who come for brats,Heiderburber,spanferkel,Sauerkraut and German Potato salad. German bands,Puppet shows,German dancers and games will be featured. The traditional tapping of the keg ceremony at 6:00pm Friday evening
